The Pella Pro Expo, sponsored by Pella Corporation at 30 locations across the U.S. and Canada, gives designers, builders and remodelers a chance to learn about the latest products and services and earn educational credits at industry seminars. The events offer professional and fun environments for attendees to learn and mingle outside their offices. In 2010, more than 10,000 attendees from Washington State to Atlanta attended the Pro Expo, which traveled more than 27,000 miles from February through May. At times, there were only two days between the tear-down of one event and the installation of another.

When Pella first came to Star in 2008 with this proprietary event, there was no single person in charge of coordinating the multi-city Expo. So, Star established a “ringmaster,” one Star employee who would attend every event to make sure it ran smoothly and consistently. Star’s ringmaster oversees the quick load-in, setup and load-out, packing and unpacking trucks in the correct order. Through Startranet™, our proprietary online project management system, we coordinate all shipping documents and manifests, recording the challenges and needs of each of the sites.
