The Craftsman Industrial Division of Sears came to Star with clear goals for a redesign of their trade show presence: they needed a display solution that made a big, bold statement to the Commercial Supply market, leveraging their heritage and delivering the brand promise of unmatched reliability and professional quality. As a brand that is built on trust (their slogan is “Trust. In Your Hands.”), Craftsman also needed to know that as a new strategic partner, Star would be open, flexible and equally trustworthy.
The solution we developed with Craftsman delivered the message that their tools are strong, powerful, reliable and have the refined quality professional craftsmen want. Industrial workbench “Try Me” stations let guests feel the “trust in their hands” and the modular display packed some serious merchandising muscle that could flex up to a 10x40 or down to a 10x20 configuration.
Star kept Craftsman informed every step of the way via status meetings, project updates, tracking and project management via our proprietary online management system, Startranet™, so there would be no surprises. The variance between the estimated costs and the final invoice (even with changes to project requirements) was marginal.
